Pirates, Sundowns Target Togolese Star

Two Premier Soccer League (PSL) clubs have set their sights on a versatile international striker.

According to club insiders, Ismaïl Ouro-Agoro of Togo has attracted attention from Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns.

“These two teams are interested in this striker,” one source divulged to a local soccer outlet on Tuesday, 16 July. “What I know is that Sundowns started following him when he was still playing in Ethiopia … But for Pirates, recently they showed interest in him. So, I don’t know who will make the first move.”

Another source added that Ouro-Agoro “can fit in at both teams no matter which one signs him.”

“He can also play as a midfielder or as a winger, which could be a great addition to either team,” the second source explained.

The 28-year-old is currently signed to Moroccan outfit, AS FAR Rabat, on a two-year contract. It is unclear if any discussions have occurred between him and the two PSL clubs, or between the clubs and Rabat.

Neither Pirates nor Sundowns have confirmed or denied their interest in Ouro-Agoro at this time.
